The Mondego River is the fifth largest river in Portugal and the first of all those that have their entire course within Portugal.
The Mondego River rises in the Serra da Estrela, has a length of approximately 2583 kilometers, traverses the entire Central region, and flows into the Atlantic Ocean near the city of Figueira da Foz.
